About me!

My name is Jeffrey Reeves. I grew up in Orem, Utah and am the second oldest of five children--four girls, one boy. I'm finishing my senior year at BYU and will graduate with a business management degree in August of 2021. I love to snowboard, play tennis, scuba dive, and run. I also love anything related to BYU athletics or the Utah Jazz. I am looking forward to starting this blog where I will keep a record of my experiences as I wrap up my final semester of college and transition into my career. I don't typically keep a journal so it will be interesting to see how keeping a record of my experiences will help me savor life and notice times where God's hand is in my life. Hopefully this will be of benefit to myself and to anyone who reads it! Happy to have you along for the ride!

Hawaii

Hawaii is wonderful! It always is. We typically go to Kauai or Maui, but we went to the island of Hawaii, which is also known as the "Big Island". The Big Island is interesting because it has a very diverse terrain. The airport is in the middle of a big lava field that looks that a giant parking lot that was the victim of a massive earthquake. As you drive further away from the airport you get some foilage, but it is all very dry. It looks like a desert prarie. As you keep driving to the other side of the island, the landscape turns into rolling green hills that make you feel like you're in Scotland. Somewhere along the drive, you can visit the volcano that is tall enough to get snow on the top. As you continue to drive, the landscape turns into the lush Hawaiian paradise that you imagined when booking your plane tickets. Flowers and waterfalls dot the landscape that you take in while hearing the waves crashing on the beach. It is utterly amazing place that I hope everyon...

Movies Movies Movies

This week was a week of movies. I watched Sherlock Holmes 1, Sherlock Holmes 2, and three episodes of Loki. I was pleasantly at how good the first Sherlock Holmes was, although I fell asleep during a crucial part of the ending so I definitely need to rewatch that. The second Sherlock Holmes movie was fantastic as well even though it didn’t have as strong of a plot line. As great as the two Sherlock Holmes movies were, Loki takes the cake for best film I watched this week. After watching the first episode last week, I was a bit nervous for the series. It really wasn’t very good at first, but that’s how wandavision was and it turned out to be my favorite show of all time so I had some hope that Loki would turn out the same and it did. The plot is developing excellently and has a ton of mystery which makes it fun to talk about with friends between episodes.

Back in Utah

Well, we got back from Costa Rica on Tuesday. The trip was a blast, but it is good to be home and back to the familiarities of Orem, Utah. I didn’t get to work much in Costa Rica so my team was super behind when I got back. Additionally, I had a ton of homework to get done. The pressure of homework and getting the team caught up led to a very busy week. I feel like I haven’t had any time to relax.  Next week we are going to Hawaii! I feel bad for abandoning my team again, but I am so excited to be able to go back to Hawaii. I haven’t been in at least six or seven years. I know, it’s a bit ridiculous that I’m complaining about not having gone to Hawaii in a while when so many people never get to go, but I just love Hawaii so much! Get ready for a massive update on how the trip went!
